On our last Sunday on the island our uncle (dad's brother) invited us to spend a quiet day at their home, in the hills of Santiago, a place called Jacagua Hills, just outside the city. We barbequed, bathed in the pool, and then had lunch al fresco. More pictures of that day will be posted separately. Emilu had a blast. She clearly enjoyed the water, and the view is just as fantastic. Getting out of the pool was a huge deal. She wanted to do it unassisted. Mission accomplished.
i just saw your comment on design mom and i had to pop over at a DR reference...i studied at the pucmm in my early twenties and long to go back. i hope you don't mind if i sneak over now and then and peak at your blog...thanks for the flashback.
How amazing? This blogging community is small and surprising! When did you study? For the longest I used to not miss my hometown of Santiago. But, ever since having a daughter I've gone more often now. All my family lives there. We can chat up about those days you went to school there, maybe we know someone in common. Thanks for the sweet comment. I'd by stopping by your site too.
