Have a blooming weekend

{Photo by me}

A gardener friend once told me that Spring flowers bloom in three stages.  The first bloom, a second bloom and toward the end of Spring, the third and last bloom.  This must be the last bloom of the season.  There are flowers blooming everywhere around the city, and my neighborhood is no exception.  Any plans for Father's Day weekend?  We will spend it as family, low-key, maybe do some grilling in the patio, and just relax and count our blessings.  I hope you have a great Father's day weekend.  Here are a few links for your enjoyment.

Happy and blessed father's day

Dear Edgar: I don't pretend to say that you are the best dad in the world, although you are very high up, because many dads deserve that title collectively. But in our eyes, and in this house, you are the best dad we can ever ask for. Thank you hon, for giving me this amazing gift of experiecing motherhood. The road to parenthood has been rocky, but I woudn't change it for the world!

Happy Father's Day.

Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to all my daddy friends.  I will be making sweet crepes for breakfast for my husband , who happens to be a new father to our 6 week old daughter.  Among the things that make him a good dad are the way she cuddles in his chest with no care in the world, how he wakes up during the night to burp her after she eats no matter the long work day ahead, and how she knows his voice and follows it with her eyes.  Dads are special. Love you dad!
